Malaysian gold rush marks Day 1 of 29th Sea Games

INSPIRED by the early morning glory of the Sea Games endurance team led by Sultan Mizan Zainal Abidin, the Malaysian contingent went on a fruitful gold hunt on the first day of the 29th SEA Games Kuala Lumpur 2017.
A day after the glittering opening ceremony at the Bukit Jalil National Stadium won rave reviews, spectators saw a Malaysian gold rush that began with the endurance team making a clean sweep of the two gold medals in the 80km team and individual competition at the Terengganu International Endurance Park in Setiu.
Malaysia are in the lead with 16 gold, 10 silver and nine bronze medals after seven days of competition, which commenced on August 14. The Games end on August 30. – August 20, 2017.
