ABOUT 100 Foodpanda riders in the Klang Valley went on strike in protest against a new payment scheme introduced by the online food delivery company.

They claim that the new scheme doesn’t benefit them and gathered at Southgate Cheras, Kuala Lumpur, from 11am to 2pm, refusing to pick up orders for the day.

The riders want to revert to the previous scheme or they’ll continue the strike together with riders from other states.

Under the new scheme, the riders are paid between RM7 and RM4.50 for batches of one to six, adding they are not paid for the actual working hours.

Some riders have slammed the new incentive of RM100 for 60 working hours. – September 30, 2019.
