SABAH is known for its vibrant approach to festival celebrations, food and tradition and this is reflected on Christmas.

In Sabah, Christmas is a celebration of the state’s heritage and culture and it is also a symbol of solidarity and harmony between the various races and religions there.

Gifts are exchanged between people in an effort to emulate of God’s generosity.

But this year, the joy is doubled after the state government declared December 24 another public holiday in addition to Christmas day itself.

Sabah is the state with the second largest population of Christians after Sarawak, with approximately 3.9 million people practising the religion. – December 24, 2019.
