PAKATAN Harapan should stop courting unprincipled parties, Perak Amanah chief Asmuni Awi said today, in an apparent reference to allies seeking a tie-up with PAS.

Amanah is a splinter party from PAS, which has opted to go it alone with a few smaller parties in the next general election.

The Islamist party has also been supportive of Umno lately.

“What we should do at this final stage before the next general election is strengthen PH.

The past is gone. Don’t waste time chasing those that have no backbone,” Asmuni said at the state Amanah’s second convention.

His remarks are believed to be directed at some individuals in PKR who are open to forging a pact with PAS.

“We know ‘those’ better than others,” said the former PAS treasurer.

He said it was possible to repeat the opposition’s performance in the 2008 general election, where it defeated Barisan Nasional and formed the state government in Perak.

As long as we are united and trust one another, we can repeat our 2008 performance. We must not have any hidden agendas among us.” – August 20, 2017.
