FORMER MyPPP president M. Kayveas today warned that he will take legal action against the Registrar of Societies if the party’s appeal against deregistration fails.

He said the Election Commission was ordered by RoS to disallow the use of the MyPPP logo, causing him to be unable to contest in today’s Cameron Highlands by-election.

“I appealed their decision on January 15, and will take action against RoS according to the law because I’m the legitimate president.

“If RoS wants to deregister this 66-year-old party, it’s mala fide and ultra vires because we have 600,000 members,” he said after casting his vote at the SMK Sultan Ahmad Shah polling centre.

Kayveas said MyPPP will not join either Barisan Nasional or Pakatan Harapan, but will align itself with the government of the day.

“We will save the party and bring it back. We will be the third force.”

He previously announced that he would run in the by-election, but later withdrew.

He added that he is backing PH in the polls as he feels he has been sidelined by BN for too long. – January 26, 2019.
