What are your plans for Semenyih, voters ask candidates

VOTERS in Semenyih might be excited about the attention from the coming by-election but many said they remain unconvinced by any party.
They said there is a lack of details over what each candidate plans to do for the constituency.
During a late-night ceramah by Home Minister Muhyiddin Yassin, Economic Affairs Minister Azmin Ali and Pakatan Harapan candidate Muhammad Aiman Zainali, attendants said all the candidates do not appear to have a plan for developing Semenyih and solving its problems.
Muzaffar Muridan, 46, said that the candidates should be trying harder to convince the voters as the Semenyih by-election is expected to be a tight fight between Aiman and the Barisan Nasional candidate, Zakaria Hanafi.
“We have to get to know about the candidates. I am not sure yet about them yet, they have yet to show what they can do for the community,” Muzaffar told The Malaysian Insight at the PH ceramah last night.
Shahdikid Mohd Nor said candidates need to speak up and not expect to just rely on their party reputation.
The Semenyih by-election takes place on March 2 after Bersatu assemblyman Bakhtiar Mohd Nor died from a heart attack last month.
The other candidates are Parti Sosialis Malaysia’s Nik Aziz Afiq Abdul and independent Kuan Chee Heng. – February 19, 2019.
