2 men nabbed over Molotov cocktail attack at night club

TWO men in their 30s have been remanded four days to facilitate investigation into the Molotov cocktail attack at an entertainment outlet in Kota Damansara on Monday.
Petaling Jaya police chief Mohd Zani Che Din said the suspects were picked up in the Petaling Jaya area at 5.30pm yesterday and were brought to court today for remand.
The motive was a business feud.
Zani in a press conference held at the scene after the incident said the club owner had been threatened over protection money before.
He ruled out any terror element in the case.
A club worker, a Bangladeshi, was injured in the 4.15pm incident after two Molotov cocktails were hurled at the club.
“The incident occurred at the foyer of the club, which is located on the first floor of the Encorp Garden office.
“The incident happened at 4.10pm when workers were setting up the place for their nightly operation.
“The worker was injured on the arm and forehead,” Zani said.
Zani added that the worker is being treated at Sungai Buloh Hospital with burns to 20% of the body. – September 6, 2017.
