A PAKATAN Harapan Youth leader has lodged a police report against two social media users for allegedly insulting Prophet Muhammad.

Bersatu Youth exco Mohd Muzzammil Ismail, who lodged the report in Alor Star this evening, said he was informed about the posts at noon.

“Alvin Chow”, with the handle @alvinchow333, yesterday tweeted that he is not afraid of insulting the Prophet and Malays.

Other tweets by him included foul words used against the Prophet and Malays.

Screenshots of the tweets are making the rounds, with social media users slamming him for the offensive posts.

Muzzammil said a Facebook user, “Danny Antonio Jr”, also posted offensive statements against the Prophet and Malays.

“As an Armada (Bersatu Youth) exco, I urge police to take action against these individuals,” he said in his report.

Last week, a 68-year-old man was charged under the Penal Code and Communications and Multimedia Commission Act 1998 for posting on Facebook a caricature of a naked Prophet Muhammad.

The man claimed trial, and the Kuala Lumpur Sessions Court fixed bail at RM20,000.

The post sparked protests after Friday prayers, with angry Muslims warning others not to repeat the offence. – March 4, 2019.
