SABAH DAP’s decision to use the party logo in elections is endorsed by the party’s central leadership, Chan Foong Hin said.

The Sabah DAP secretary said there is no need for the components to contest under a single Pakatan Harapan logo for now.

“There is nothing wrong with using our own logo… In GE14, we also chose to use the party logo,” he told The Malaysian Insight yesterday.

Sabah DAP is contesting for the Sandakan parliamentary seat under the logo of the rocket.

The by-election was called following the death of the incumbent, Stephen Wong, who was the Sabah DAP chairman.

The party is fielding Wong’s daughter, Vivian Wong, in the fight over the seat.

DAP is a component of the Pakatan Harapan coalition, along with Bersatu, Amanah and PKR.

In the May general election, the coalition candidates had stood under the PKR logo, but Wong had announced that the party candidates will fly the rocket in their election campaigns, ahead of the polls last year. – April 28, 2019.
