AN alleged infighting between two top officials in Sabah think-tank Institute Development of Studies will have to wait until after the Hari Raya festivities for it to be resolved.

Chief Minister Mohd Shafie Apdal said Sabah will have to sort out the alleged infighting eventually.

“But I need to check what happened and need to know the detailed part of it.

“But it’s still Hari Raya. We will resolve this,” he told reporters at his open house in Semporna today.

When asked if it was true the chief executive officer of IDS has been removed, Shafie neither confirmed nor denied it, only saying “no”.

Yesterday, several media outlets in Sabah reported the tension between chief executive Johan Ariffin and IDS chairman Simon Sipaun.

Johan has been reported as saying that his appointment as CEO was revoked by the IDS board of directors in a secret ballot recently.

Later the same day, Sipaun said Johan was not sacked but only had his six-month probation as CEO extended. – June 5, 2019.
