THE erectile dysfunction drug Viagra was among six types of poisons found in Kim Jong-nam’s blood besides the toxic VX nerve agent, the Shah Alam High Court was told today.

During the cross examination of Kuala Lumpur Hospital Pathologist Department head Dr Mohd Shah Mahmood, Indonesian suspect Siti Aisyah’s lawyer, Gooi Soon Seng, said the post-mortem report revealed that there were six types of poisons in Jong-nam’s blood sample, including those from different medications taken for gout, hypertension and diabetes, to which Dr Shah concurred.

Dr Shah added that Viagra was also found in the blood sample.

Earlier today, he had told the court that the VX nerve agent was found in Jong-nam’s blood sample, eye mucosa and facial swab, which were among the specimens tendered in court.

The specimens, which were taken by Dr Shah, had been sent to the Chemistry Department for testing.

Among the other evidence tendered in court today were samples of Jong-nam’s urine, T-shirt, bandage and underwear.

The third day of the hearing into the murder of North Korean leader Kim Jong-un’s half-brother began with deputy public prosecutor Wan Shaharuddin Wan Ladin requesting judge Azmi Ariffin to reinstate the history that contained an interview with the doctors who had treated Jong-nam and the police officer who had taken the deceased to a clinic at klia2 on February 13.

Wan Shaharuddin said the history was vital, and without it, the prosecution’s case would be affected.

Vietnamese suspect Doan Thi Huong’s lawyer, Hisyam Teh Poh Teik, objected to this, and sought for a stay of the ruling made yesterday.

Azmi had excluded the history and summary of the medical report as it contained hearsay as argued by the defence.

Today, he decided that yesterday’s ruling would stay, and that the deputy public prosecutor could argue and make an application for a review at the end of the hearing. – October 4, 2017.
