POLICE are investigating Lokman Noor Adam for violation of several laws, including the Sedition Act.
CID chief Huzir Mohamed said 17 investigation papers were open on the Umno Supreme Councillor.
He said seven of the cases were under the Bukit Aman Classified Crime Investigation Unit .
“He is regularly making statements which border on the seditious,” he said.
Lokman is among the individuals with the most number of cases on the police files for sedition, Huzir said.
Huzir said Lokman’s latest alleged infringement was his social media post on October 27 entitled “Bersiap sedia untuk peperangan paling dahsyat” (Get ready for the most terrible war).
He said police were seeking a court order or bond to ensure Lokman did not repeat some of his earlier statements.
Lokman would have to report to the nearest police station every month, if the court order came through, he said.
“I wish to remind Lokman that police can take action against him whenever we want and he should stop making such statements,” he said.
Lokman was most recently in trouble with the law in June, when he was arrested on suspicion of having “leaked” a series of videos of two allegedly PKR men having sex.
Police said he resisted arrest, refused to cooperate when police asked to check his mobile phone, and hurled obscenities at the officers.
In March Lokman got into fisticuffs with some youths that led to his being charged with intentionally hurting a stud
In September last year, Lokman posted on social media false news that an Indonesian student had made a police report in Singapore accusing PKR president Anwar Ibrahim of sodomy. – October 30, 2019.
