FUGITIVE businessman Low Taek Jho, better known as Jho Low, and two others have been charged in absentia with engaging in a criminal conspiracy with former prime minister Najib Razak, Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) chief said Latheefa Koya.

Latheefa said PetroSaudi International directors Patrick Mahony and Tarek Obaid are the other two charged at the Kuala Lumpur Magistrates Court.

She said all three are also charged with money-laundering amounting to US$300 million (RM1.24 billion).

She added that warrants of arrest have been issued for all three suspects.

“We have also notified Interpol to issue red notices against them,” she told reporters at the Apec 2020 Symposium on Gender Mainstreaming and Women Empowerment to Fight Corruption in Putrajaya after delivering a keynote address. – February 11, 2020.
