SEPANG MP Hanipa Maidin (Amanah) has challenged former finance minister II Ahmad Husni Hanadzlah to lodge a police report that his nephew had been sodomised by jailed opposition leader Anwar Ibrahim.
“If he believes that his nephew was sodomised, lodge a police report or ask Hairani Nafis to lodge a police report so the police can investigate it,” said the lawyer during a press conference in Parliament today.
Hanipa said he had given statements to the Federal Territory Islamic Affairs Department (Jawi) officer in Kuala Lumpur, along with Kuala Terengganu MP Raja Kamarul Bahrin Raja Ahmad this morning.
“Earlier this morning our statements were taken (by the investigating officer) for the allegation of qazaf (accusation of adultery without adequate proof). I have given a copy of the speech on Hansard and a video.
“The Jawi officer said Husni will be asked to make a statement next week,” added Hanipa.
During his budget speech on November 1, Husni had criticised former prime minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad and former deputy prime minister Muhyiddin Yassin and said why he had stopped following Anwar.
“Do you know who is Dr Mahathir? I do. I was finance minister II. I knew what happened when Pos Malaysia was bought and Perwaja. I know. Do you know who is Muhyiddin. You don’t, but I do. Do you know who is Anwar Ibrahim? I was with Anwar Ibrahim, I left him.
“After he was no longer the deputy prime minister, I helped him, (I) went to Bukit Damansara. When he was involved with the sodomy case. He was involved with my nephew. We all cried, I flew to Jordan,” said Husni.
