THE government has ended the enhanced movement-control order (EMCO) in Kg. Haji Baki, Kuching but extended the conditional MCO in Labuan until December 6.

“Based on the advice and risk assessment by the Health Ministry, a special National Security Council meeting agreed to end EMCO in Kg. Haji Baki, Kuching today, ahead of schedule.

“Previously, the announcement of the EMCO extension was made because there were still many laboratory test results that had not been obtained at the time.

“However, until November 12, all test results have been obtained and no new cases have been detected in the last seven days,” Ismail Sabri said.

The government previously announced the implementation of EMCO in Kg. Haji Baki, Kuching from October 28 to November 10, and then extended it until November 24.

As for Labuan, the state will continue to be under partial lockdown.

“On the advice and risk assessment conducted by the ministry, NSC today agreed to extend CMCO for Labuan from November 14 to December 6.

“This is to curb the Covid-19 spread and provide space for health workers to implement active case detection in targeted areas identified as high risk,” Ismail Sabri said.
