THE government is taking an inclusive and comprehensive approach to strengthen the country’s digitisation agenda, one of the pillars of the Shared Prosperity Vision 2030, said Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin.

“Digitisation will guarantee the economic survival and wellbeing of the people amid the Covid-19 pandemic that has hit the world and the country.

“This process of digitisation will continue to be intensified and focus will also be given to the development of the digital economy to boost the country’s economic growth after Covid-19,” he said in his speech when launching the MalaysiaBiz portal, held virtually on Facebook today.

The portal was developed by the Malaysian Administrative Modernisation and Management Planning Unit (MAMPU) under the Prime Minister’s Department, Entrepreneur and Cooperative Development Ministry (MEDAC) and SME Corp.

“MalaysiaBiz portal will be a ‘one-stop centre’ to facilitate business registrations and online license applications,” Muhyiddin said, adding that it would be useful for small and medium enterprises (SMEs).

“Recognising the importance of digital platforms in business and the contribution of SMEs to the national economy, the MalaysiaBiz portal has been developed by MAMPU to be a facilitator in local business,” he added.

The MalaysiaBiz portal is integrated with an online system across 17 agencies to enable traders to get services at only one gateway.
