PUTRAJAYA’s One-Stop Centre (OSC) to ease the movement of business travellers has already approved travel to Malaysia for over 8,000 foreign investors, said Senior Minister Mohamed Azmin Ali.
“Investors coming in for less than 14 days can go through the Business Travellers Centre (BTC) at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA), where their swab test will be done with the results out within three hours
“Then they can then go ahead with their approved itinerary with the condition that a liaison officer follows them throughout their stay.
“The BTC will be able to convince foreign investors to come to Malaysia. On top of Malaysia’s success in tackling the spread of Covid-19, we also guarantee their safety while here,” said the International Trade and Industry Minister during the Malaysia Prihatin programme at Concorde Hotel Shah Alam today.
Many of the liaison officers who will accompany investors are former staff of airlines that took a hit during the Covid-19 pandemic.
According to Azmin, Malaysia’s BTC is modelled on lessons and practices in Singapore, South Korea and countries in the European Union. – March 26, 2021.
