THE Health Ministry today recorded nine new Covid-19 clusters, five at workplaces and four in the community, said Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah.

The director-general of health said three of the clusters are located in Sarawak, followed by Sabah (2), and one each in Johor, Kuala Lumpur, Pahang and Kelantan.

Clusters with the highest number of new cases today are the Kg Baru Hilir cluster (29), and Persiaran Cassia Selatan cluster (25).

The following are the new clusters detected today:

Workplace clusters

  1. Bulatan Pandan construction site cluster in Titiwangsa, Kuala Lumpur with 14 Covid-19 cases. 
  2. Jalan Kong Kong cluster in Johor Baru, Johor at a workplace with eight Covid-19 cases.
  3. Jalan Kastam Baru cluster in Lahad Datu, Sabah at a workplace with six Covid-19 cases.
  4. Inanam Taipan cluster in Kota Kinabalu, tuaran, and Penampang in Sabah at a workplace with nine cases. 
  5. Jalan Putra Square cluster in Kuantan, Pahang at a workplace with 29 cases.

Community clusters

  1. Jalan Gridbid cluster in Miri and Beluru in Sarawak with 46 cases
  2. Tg Kidurong cluster in Bintulu, Sarawak with 42 cases. 
  3. Kg Baru Hilir cluster in Samarahan, Tebedu, and Kuching in Sarawak with 73 cases.
  4. Gong Kulim cluster in Pasir Puteh, Kelantan at a community with 25 cases.

A total of 392 clusters are still active, while 952 clusters have been declared over. – March 27, 2021.
