MCO for 7 Kelantan districts, EMCO for Sabah village, 3 Pahang localities

A VILLAGE in Sabah and three localities in Rompin, Pahang will be placed under the enhanced movement-control order (EMCO) from tomorrow, while seven districts in Kelantan will be under the movement-control order (MCO) from April 16, said Senior minister Ismail Sabri Yaakob.
This follows a sharp increase in Covid-19 infections in these places, he said in a press statement today.
The village in Sabah under EMCO is Tanjung Batu Keramat, in Kota Belud, while localities in Rompin are Ladang Leepang, Ladang Laukin, and Inoi village in Muadzam Shah.
The EMCO will be implemented from April 15 to April 28
“The Health Ministry confirmed a total of 17 Covid-19 positive cases among residents of the locality in Tanjung Batu Keramat, Sabah.
“Meanwhile 39 screenings were done at the three localities in Rompin and 25 infections were recorded,” the defence minister said in a statement today.
Meanwhile, the seven districts in Kelantan under MCO are are Kota Baru, Pasir Mas, Pasir Puteh, Bachok, Machang, Tumpat and Tanah Merah.
The MCO will be from April 16 to April 29.
The order follows an increase of 30.5% in cases in Kelantan within 14 days. The number of cases has risen from 756 to 1,088 in this period.
All seven districts are red zones, Ismail Sabri added. – April 14, 2021.
