13 new Covid-19 clusters detected

HEALTH authorities discovered 13 new Covid-19 clusters today, taking the cumulative cluster count to 1,820 nationwide, said director-general of health Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah.

Of the new clusters traced in the last 24 hours, four stemmed from places of worship, workplaces (3), community transmissions (2), education sector (3) and high-risk group (1).

The breakdown in clusters is as follows:

Workplaces

1. Jalan Utarid Lima in Petaling, Selangor with 64 cases

2. Jalan Sepuluh Industri Miel in Hulu Langat, Petaling, dan Gombak, Selangor (12)

3. Jalan Serkam in Jasin, Malacca Tengah, dan Tangkak, Malacca and Johor (20)

Religious centres

4. Jalan Haji Abdul Aziz in Klang, Selangor (7)

5. Pauh Lima in Bachok and Kota Baru, Kelantan (30)

6. Jalan Dato Setia in in Johor Baru, Johor (17)

7. Dah Penghulu in Kuala Muda, Kedah (27)

Community transmissions

8. Bako Hilir in Kuching, Sarawak (18)

9. Banggol Gajah Mat in Pasir Mas, Kelantan (28)

High-risk group

10. Dah Amanjaya 2 Kuala Muda, Sik, Yan, dan Kota Setar in Kedah (28)

Education

11. Kota Warisan in Sepang, Selangor (14)

12. Jalan Lingkaran Ilmu in Kulai, Johor (13)

13. Jalan Mempelam in Kuala Langat, Selangor (31)

Noor Hisham said 1,366 clusters have ended in the country as of today. – May 11, 2021.
