HEALTH authorities discovered 22 new Covid-19 clusters today, taking the cumulative cluster count to 1,942 nationwide, said director-general of health Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah.

Of the new clusters traced in the last 24 hours, he said workplaces accounted for eight, community transmissions (7), places of worship (6) and education (1).

Noor Hisham said the country’s active clusters now stood at 516. 

The breakdown in clusters is as follows:

1. Bukit Raja Industry in Klang, Selangor (21 cases)

2. Jalan 223 PJ in Petaling, Selangor (16)

3. Jalan Endap Sawi in Semarahan, Serian and Kuching, Sarawak (29)

4. Jalan Tg Kupang in Johor Baru, Johor (199)

5. Jalan Tuan Hitam Besut, Terengganu (38)

6. Paya Rumput Utama in Malacca Tengah, Malacca (11)

7. Victoria Merdeka in Labuan, Labuan (16)

8. Jalan Kg Bakau in Kangar, Perlis (7)

Community transmissions

9. Stunggang in Lundu, Sarawak (9)

10. Kg Tg Jelujok in Pasir, Kelantan (15)

11. Kg Limau in Lembah Pantai, Kuala Lumpur (27)

12. Pagar Sg Imam in Tawau, Sabah (27)
