24 new Covid-19 clusters, most from workplaces

HEALTH authorities discovered 24 new Covid-19 clusters today, taking the cumulative count to 1,966 nationwide, said Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah.

Of the new clusters traced in the last 24 hours, the director-general of health said workplaces accounted for nine, community transmissions (7), places of worship (6), education (1) and high-risk group (1).

Noor Hisham said the country’s active clusters now stood at 528.

The breakdown in clusters is as follows:

Workplaces

1. Jalan Bunga Azalea, in Hulu Selangor, Selangor (11 cases)

2. Jalan Makasar in Kluang, Johor (27)

3. Teknologi Juru in Central Seberang Perai, Penang (20)

4. Jalan Kg Juru in Central and South Seberang Perai, Penang (12)

5. Lorong Karamunsing in Kota Kinabalu, Putatan, Penampang and Tuaran, Sabah (28)

6.  Jalan Tun Fuad in Kota Kinabalu, Penampang and Putatan, Sabah (11)

7. Jalan Pengalat Lok Kawi in Papar, Kota Kinabalu in Sabah (16)

8. Jalan Dato Dol Said in Alor Gajah and Jasin, Malacca (27)

9. Bukit Tempayan in Malacca Tengah, Malacca (11)
