Covid-19 infectivity rate up to 0.91

MALAYSIA’S infectivity rate increased by 0.01 to 0.91 yesterday, said director-general of health Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah.
Labuan reported the highest R-naught at 1.12.
Meanwhile, Sabah and Negri Sembilan reported an R0 of above 1.0 while Sarawak reported 1.0.
R0 indicates the number of new infections estimated to stem from a single case.
Malaysia reported 5,304 new cases yesterday, against 8,163 recoveries and 64 deaths. Active cases, on the other hand, stood at 73,324.
As of yesterday, a total of 4.49 million doses of vaccine were administered. Of this, 1.35 million people have completed their two-dose schedule.
Meanwhile, 13.78 million people have registered to be vaccinated. – June 14, 2021.
