SELANGOR will receive 4 million Covid-19 vaccine doses this month, Health Minister Dr Adham Baba said today.

The Covid-19 immunisation task force has decided to give the state an additional 1 million doses, he told a press conference.

“This is a measure to expedite herd immunity. This also involves increasing capacity at vaccination centres.”

This allocation will cause no changes to the delivery schedule of vaccines to other states, he added.

Selangor has been topping the daily Covid-19 tally continuously.

Today, the most populous state in the country reported 5,263 new infections.

In the Klang Valley, at least 3 million people or 36.5% of residents have received one dose of Covid-19 vaccine, while 934,000 or 11.1% of people have received both doses. – July 13, 2021.
