29 new Covid-19 clusters, majority from workplaces

A TOTAL of 29 new Covid-19 clusters were detected today, of which 17 are workplace clusters.
Meanwhile, eight clusters are community clusters, three clusters were detected from high-risk groups and one cluster was detected from a religious centre.
Director-general of health Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said the clusters were located in Johor, Selangor, Kuala Lumpur, Sarawak, Pahang, Kelantan and Sabah.
This raises the number of active clusters to 1,238, and the total number of clusters nationwide to 4,003.
The 17 workplace clusters are:
1. Jalan Parit Bilal in Batu Pahat, Johor (18 cases);
2. Tapak Bina Indahpura Empat in Kulai, Johor (28 cases);
3. Perindustrian Alam Jaya Pontian in Pontian and Johor Baru (39 cases);
4. Jalan Riang 21 in Johor Baru, Johor (18 cases);
5. Industri Seksyen 44 in Kota Baru and Bachok, Kelantan (12 cases);
6. Kg Tebing Tinggi in Tanah Merah, Kelantan (21 cases);
7. Industri Jalan Chin Teck in Gua Musang, Kelantan (7 cases);
8. Industri Jalan 9/44 Padang Tembak in Kota Baru, Kelantan (13 cases);
9. Jalan Masjid Tanah in Alor Gajah and Melaka Tengah, Malacca (34 cases);
10. Industri Gebeng 2/5 in Kuantan, Pahang (15 cases);
11. Industri Semambu Tujuh in Kuantan, Pahang (31 cases);
12. Tapak Bina Persiaran 2 in Kuala Langat, Selangor (39 cases);
13. Industri Jalan Kemajuan Bangi in Hulu Langat, Kuala Langat, and Sepang, Selangor (129 cases);
14. Jalan Lembah Selatan Dua in Sepang and Hulu Langat, Selangor (42 cases);
15. Tapak Bina Jalan Pasai in Lembah Pantai, Kuala Lumpur (50 cases);
16. Tapak Bina Bukit OUG in Lembah Pantai and Cheras, Kuala Lumpur (113 cases); and
17. Jalan Kuchai Lama in Lembah Pantai, Kuala Lumpur (94 cases).
The eight community clusters are:
1. Sessang in Kabong, Sarawak (42 cases);
2. Kg Kedai Tanjong in Pasir Mas, Kelantan (5 cases);
3. Kg Sungai Budur in Kota Baru, Kelantan (13 cases);
4. Timbua in Ranau, Sabah (48 cases);
5. Lorong Cahaya Damai in Kuching, Sarawak (54 cases);
6. Kg Pandan in Kuching, Sarawak (10 cases);
7. Kg Paya Mebi in Kuching, Sarawak (27 cases); and
8. Tali Air Enam in Sabak Bernam, Selangor (13 cases).
The three high-risk group clusters are:
1. Sungai Sekamat in Hulu Langat and Petaling (58 cases);
2. Jalan Datuk Haji Eusoff in Titiwangsa and Lembah Pantai, Kuala Lumpur (6 cases); and
3. Jalan Maju Dua in Hulu Langat, Selangor (26 cases).
The religious cluster was detected in Jengka 25 in Temerloh, Pahang (24 cases). – August 10, 2021.
