Selangor logs the most Covid-19 cases

SELANGOR logged the highest number of new Covid-19 cases with 899 infections, according to the Health Ministry’s Git.hub raw data repository.

This was followed by Kelantan with 688, which is a significant jump from the 461 cases reported on November 1.

Selangor reported 272 daily hospital admissions, while its hospital bed utilisation rate is currently at 67.6%.

Labuan was the only state or territory not to report any fresh cases.

Other states and federal territories that reported new cases yesterday were Johor (419), Kedah (347), Malacca (214), Negri Sembilan (119), Pahang (250), Perak (219), Perlis (54), Penang (276), Sabah (549), Sarawak (528), Terengganu (217), Kuala Lumpur (259) and Putrajaya (33).

In total, there were 5,071 new Covid-19 cases reported yesterday, which brings the total to 2.48 million.

There were 66,862 active Covid-19 cases in Malaysia as of last night. Of this number, 557 patients were receiving treatment in intensive care units, with 300 of them on ventilator support.

Meanwhile, 51,472 patients were in home quarantine, while 8,988 were admitted to low-risk quarantine centres and 5,845 were hospitalised. – November 3, 2021.
