75.2% of population fully vaccinated

SOME 24.6 million people, or 75.2% of the population, have now completed their Covid-19 vaccination.

According to the CovidNow website, about 939,753 people have been partially vaccinated while 7.33 million remain unvaccinated.

Malaysia is aiming to inoculate 80% of the population by February 4, 2022.

Meanwhile, 95.7% or 22.4 million adults have completed their Covid-19 vaccination, while 491,450 are partially vaccinated.

At least, 2.17 million adolescents, ages 12 to 17, have been immunised using the Pfizer Covid-19 vaccine, or roughly 69% of this age group.

Another 448,303, have been partially vaccinated since the vaccination programme began on September 8.

The Klang Valley has vaccinated 89.8% of its general population, the highest percentage by state or territory.

Sabah and Kelantan are the only states to have vaccinated less than 60% of their population.

The 122,142 doses of vaccine dispensed yesterday means that 50.3 million jabs have been administered under the national Covid-19 immunisation programme. – November 3, 2021.
