Malaysia passes 2.5 million mark with 4,701 new Covid-19 cases today

MALAYSIA logged 4,701 new Covid-19 cases as of noon today, a dip from yesterday’s 4,922, director-general of health Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said. 

With the new cases, the country’s cumulative number of cases stands at 2,501,966.

Malaysia has been reporting fewer than 6,000 daily cases for a week now. 

Case breakdown by states will be uploaded onto the CovidNow portal after midnight.

“The infectious rate of Covid-19 or R0/Rt on the expected daily case on November 5 for the whole country is 0.92,” Noor Hisham also tweeted earlier today. 

Malaysia recorded a 0.92 R0 for the past seven days and a 6% dip in hospitalisation rate with 65% of beds occupied in the same period. – November 6, 2021.
