ALL states and federal territories saw new Covid-19 cases yesterday, with Selangor logging the highest number of infections at 981.

In total, there were 4,343 cases.

Selangor reported 240 new hospital admissions while its hospital bed utilisation rate is at 55.8%.

According to the Health Ministry’s Git.hub raw data repository, this was followed by Sarawak with 460 cases.

Other states and federal territories that reported new cases yesterday were Johor (381), Kedah (325), Kelantan (376), Malacca (152), Negri Sembilan (148), Pahang (220), Perak (186), Perlis (19), Penang (245), Sabah (405), Terengganu (186), Kuala Lumpur (228), Putrajaya (17) and Labuan (14).

This brings the cumulative total of cases in Malaysia since the Covid-19 pandemic began on January 25 last year to 2,506,309.

There were 64,623 active Covid-19 cases in Malaysia as of last night. Of this number, 554 patients were treated in intensive care units with 272 of them requiring ventilator support.

Meanwhile, 50,933 patients were under home quarantine, 8,130 were admitted to low-risk quarantine centres while 5,006 were hospitalised. – November 8, 2021.
