THE number of daily Covid-19 cases rose for a third day with 5,594 new infections reported as of noon today, Health Director-General Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said. 

The new cases take the cumulative total of Covid-19 cases reported in the country so far to 2,597,080.

The breakdown of cases according to states will be uploaded to the CovidNow website after midnight.

Malaysia logged 4,885 new Covid-19 cases yesterday, which was slightly higher than the 4,854 cases reported a day earlier.

Noor Hisham also said that the infection rate (Rt) for November 21 was 1.0.

The country saw 1,132 hospital admissions for Covid-19-related cases yesterday.

The overall hospital bed utilisation rate was 67.4%. – November 23, 2021.
