THE Health Ministry reported 48 Covid-19 deaths yesterday, of which 10 were dead on arrival.

This takes the coronavirus death toll to 30,195.

The daily death figure is the sum total of the number of reported fatalities on the day plus cases just confirmed by the health authorities to be due to Covid-19.

The ministry’s GitHub raw data repository showed Kelantan and Terengganu reporting the highest fatalities yesterday with eight each.

Johor, Malacca, Negri Sembilan and Kuala Lumpur each reported one fatality.

Kedah and Penang reported two each, while there were three fatalities in Pahang, four in Sabah, six each in Perak and Sarawak, and five in Selangor.

There were no fatalities reported in Perlis, Labuan and Putrajaya.

The country’s current fatality rate stood at 0.8% as of yesterday, with the national average for coronavirus deaths at 15 per population of 1 million. – November 26, 2021.
