MALAYSIA logged 3,573 new Covid-19 cases as of noon today, health director-general Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said.

The new infections bring the total number of infections in the country to 2.76 million cases.

The case breakdown according to states will be uploaded on the CovidNow website after midnight.

Noor Hisham said the infection rate nationwide stood at 0.98.

In a New Year message, Noor Hisham asked healthcare workers to soldier on and care for the public because the Covid-19 pandemic is far from over.

He called on healthcare workers nationwide to continue taking precautionary measures to ensure everyone is safe.

He also thanked them for all their sacrifices over the past two years. – December 31, 2021.
