MALAYSIA recorded 2,888 new Covid-19 infections as of noon today, Health Ministry director-general Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said today.

The country has been reporting fewer than four thousand cases for the past few weeks.

Noor Hisham said the fresh cases today bring the cumulative number of infections to 2,786,219 million.

The breakdown of cases according to states will be uploaded on the CovidNow website after midnight.

Noor Hisham said the infection rate nationwide was 0.97 as of yesterday, where a value of more than 1.0 means the infection is spreading. – January 9, 2022.
