MALAYSIA recorded 2,641 new Covid-19 infections as of noon today, said Health Director-General Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah.

The country has been reporting fewer than 4,000 cases for the past few weeks. 

Noor Hisham said the fresh cases today bring the cumulative number of infections to 2,788,860 million. 

The breakdown of cases according to states will be uploaded on the CovidNow website after midnight.

He said the infection rate nationwide was 0.98 as of yesterday, where a value of more than 1.0 means the infection is spreading. – January 10, 2022.
