MALAYSIA yesterday saw a continuing decrease in Covid-19 deaths, which stood at nine, one of which were dead on arrival.

The death toll reached 31,892.

The daily death figure is the sum total of the number of reported fatalities on the day, plus cases just confirmed by the health authorities to be due to Covid-19.

New virus deaths were reported in Johor (3), Terengganu (3), Sabah (1), Selangor (1), and Perak (1). 

The local Covid-19 mortality rate was at 0.5% while the national average for deaths by infection was five per one million people. – January 24, 2022.
