TAKING a potshot at Ismail Sabri Yaakob, who has a penchant for expensive designer shirts, graphic artist Fahmi Reza has created a new “designer” shirt for the prime minister.

The shirt, “priced” at RM6,900, was posted on Twitter.

Fahmi had swapped out the bright red typography on a shirt Ismail had worn previously with the words,  “Potong gaji menteri”, or “Cut the minister’s salary.”

Malaysians were invited to buy the shirt for the leader.

The post has been retweeted 1,600 times and has received 3,373 likes.

Last month, a group of 20 student movement groups called on government officials to take a pay cut amid surging inflation.

“The cabinet is too big. The ministers and deputies should take a pay cut and show they are with the people,” said their representative Aliff Naif Mohd Fizam. – July 8, 2022.
