JOHOR businesswoman Florence Goh Siew Boey has denied Rafizi Ramli’s claims she hired a US lobbyist on behalf of the Najib government, saying she is not Florence Goh of the Godfrey Group Ltd.

Goh, a director of CRT Insights Technologies Sdn Bhd, said she will consider suing Rafizi unless the PKR vice-president withdraws his allegation.

“I am not Florence Goh. I want Rafizi to make an open apology. I do business in IT, and all my business is online. What he has done has affected my reputation and family,” she said today at a press conference with Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department Dr Wee Ka Siong in Putrajaya.

“If Rafizi does not clear my name and my company’s… legal action is one of my options.”

Putrajaya had denied hiring the Godfrey Group Ltd to get the US lobbyist for the Trump administration. Rafizi had revealed last week that the Godfrey Group Ltd shared the same address as CRT Insights Technologies.

Two Johor Umno MPs Shahrir Samad and Nur Jazlan Mohamed have also denied any links to Florence Goh of Godfrey Group although they are advisers to a Florence Goh who does charity work in Johor.

Godfrey Group Ltd’s address is No. 42, Jalan Molek 2/3 while CRT Insights Technologies’ is No. 42, Jalan Molek 2/1.

It is learnt that Goh has filed a police report in Johor against Rafizi on Monday for linking herself and her company with an American lobbying firm The 45 Group, which was founded by a former aide to US President Donal Trump, Healy Baumgardner-Nardone.

“I want to clear my name from these allegations. I want Rafizi to apologise over this matter.

“He has made a public statement and published my name and my company’s name, this has affected my business,” she said.

Goh said she had to turn to the government because she did not know what else to do.

“I tried contacting Rafizi through Facebook Messenger and calling the Invoke (a community-level political initiative that Rafizi set up) office, but failed.”

Wee urged Rafizi to verify his information before making something public.

“As an MP, he has the right to expose anything, but please verify your facts,” Wee said. – May 31, 2017.
