PERIKATAN Nasional has unofficially claimed victory in all eight parliamentary seats in Terengganu.

PN which used the PAS logo for the seat, defeated former Menteri Besar Ahmad Said in Kemaman, with a 21,000 vote majority.

The Islamist party is on course to win Kuala Nerus with its candidate Alias Razak leading incumbent Khairuddin Aman Razali by some 18,000 votes.

Khairuddin quit PAS and contested on a BN ticket in this election.

PN also retained Hulu Terengganu where incumbent Rosol Wahid, who jumped from BN to Bersatu.

PN also took the Umno stronghold of Besut when its candidate Che Mohamad Zulkifly Jusoh lead with a majority of 10,800 votes.

PAS president Abdul Hadi Awang is on course to win the Marang seat with a record 59,000 votes. – November 19, 2022.
