THE Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) detained an aide to Human Resources Minister V. Sivakumar in a graft probe over the hiring of foreign workers.
The aide was supposed to have been detained during a raid at the ministry this morning.
MACC chief commissioner Azam Baki confirmed the aide’s detention, together with several others, in a brief response to The Malaysian Insight.
The MACC is believed to have raided the office following allegations those involved had set up a migrant worker recruitment despite a conflict of interest as they were linked to the ministry. – April 13, 2023.
