THE biggest difference between Pakatan Harapan and Barisan Nasional is that PH will not steal public funds and land, said Anwar Ibrahim.
The PKR president-designate said the pact was determined to stay on the straight and narrow path.
“That’s the most important. Don’t steal land, don’t steal the people’s money. If you want to buy a bag, car; use your own money. That’s the most important.”
Anwar said Prime Minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad was just as determined to keep the pact clean.
“I see that he has a non-negotiable stance (on this, too),”he said.
Saying that BN had left the country’s finances in a mess, he urged the people to give the PH government time to settle matters.
He said that each ministry had its own share of problems, all of which needed fixing.
“That day, Finance Minister Lim Guan Eng came to my house to explain some problems. It’s worse than we thought but we want to fix them,” said Anwar.
Anwar was stumping for PH candidate Wong Siew Ki, and urged voters to perform their civic duties come Saturday.
With him were Deputy International Trade and Industry Minister Ong Kian Ming, Seri Kembangan assemblyman Ean Yong Hian Wah and Wong.
Balakong voters will go to the polls on Saturday. The by-election was called after its incumbent, Ng Tien Chee, was killed in a car accident on July 20. – September 6, 2018.
