ROSMAH Mansor is still being questioned by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission – some 10 hours after she was summoned to the agency’s headquarters in Putrajaya earlier today.

A source told the Malaysian Insight that Rosmah has not been arrested yet.

“Her statement is still being recorded. She has not been arrested yet.”

He added that Rosmah will be released later tonight.

Rosmah’s session with the MACC today is longer than that of her husband’s.

Former prime minister Najib Razak was questioned by the anti-graft agency for seven hours.

Rosmah arrived at the MACC headquarters at 9.50am. The 66-year-old was accompanied by her lawyer, K. Kumaraendran.

This is the second time she has been called in for questioning.

On June 5, she was questioned by the MACC for five hours in relation to SRC International funds channelled to Najib’s account. Only Najib has been charged in relation to the investigation into SRC International, a former subsidiary of 1Malaysia Development Bhd.

On Monday, the MACC said it had completed its investigation into Rosmah and submitted papers to the Attorney-General’s Chambers to decide if charges should be brought against her.

None of Rosmah’s family members accompanied her today.

However, Umno Supreme Council member Lokman Noor Adam and former Bersatu founder Anina Saddudin appeared later.

Rosmah is also being sued by Global Royalty Trading SAL, which is owned by Lebanese jeweller Samer Halimeh, for RM60 million over 44 pieces of unreturned jewellery.

The jewellery pieces were seized during police raids at premises linked to Najib in May and are part of a total haul of items worth more than RM1 billion. – September 26, 2018.
