AFTER a 13-hour grilling by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC), Rosmah Mansor said she was treated well and was feeling alright.
The wife of former prime minister Najib Razak did not want to comment on the questioning but said she was okay.
“I am okay, Alhamdulilah,” she told reporters when met outside the MACC headquarters this evening.
Rosmah refused to comment further and pointed to her lawyers, K Kumaraendran and Geethan Ram Vincent.
Kumaraendran did not shed any light on the interview and only said that Rosmah had already finished giving her statement.
“Rosmah has completed giving her statement to the MACC. That’s all I have to say,” he said brushing aside any further questions from the media.
Her session with the MACC today was longer than that of her husband’s.
Former prime minister Najib Razak was questioned by the anti-graft agency for seven hours.
Rosmah arrived at the MACC headquarters at 9.50am. The 66-year-old was accompanied by her lawyers.
This is the second time she has been called in for questioning.
On June 5, she was questioned by the MACC for five hours in relation to SRC International funds channelled to Najib’s account. Only Najib has been charged in relation to the investigation into SRC International, a former subsidiary of 1Malaysia Development Bhd.
On Monday, the MACC said it had completed its investigation into Rosmah and submitted papers to the Attorney-General’s Chambers to decide if charges should be brought against her. – September 26, 2018.
