Don’t fall for ‘Kajang move’ again, PAS warns Port Dickson voters

PAS reminded voters in Port Dickson not to vote for Anwar Ibrahim to serve his own needs, just like what his party PKR had planned via its ill-fated “Kajang move”.
Twice Anwar has pulled off the stunt to suit his personal ambitions, the Islamist party’s vice-president Iskandar Abdul Samad said.
“We in Selangor have the experience. In 2014, one seat was evicted to cater to the personal needs of someone. The case is the same.
“Here (he) wants to become PM. In Selangor, he wanted to become the menteri besar. You remember the Kajang move?” he asked PAS supporters before announcing the party’s candidate for the parliamentary constituency.
Iskandar, who is the election director for Port Dickson, added this was a “black dot” in the nation’s democracy in which Pakatan Harapan was playing with the people’s mandate.
“This is a black dot in the nation’s democracy. This by-election should not even be held. A seat was simply evicted for a personal gain,” he said.
The former Selangor exco also said Malaysians were more wary about PH after the government failed to fulfil many of its election promises.
“In the 100 days of PH rule, there are a lot of things that could not be fulfilled. They cannot even be bothered to be regretful about it. They say things like the election manifesto is not a bible,” Iskandar said.
Even if PAS does not win in the by-elections, voters should show Pakatan Harapan their displeasure at the coalition engineering an election for Anwar’s sake, he said.
“Even though we do not win, we need to give a strong message to PH that what they did will not go down well with the people.”
PAS tonight fielded Mohd Nazari Mokhtar, a retired air force officer, for the Port Dickson by-election.
Former Negeri Sembilan menteri besar Isa Samad is also contesting as an independent.
