CRIME fighters come in all shapes and sizes, in this case, man’s best friend.
The Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM) K9 unit was set up in 1968. Since its inception, the unit has had about 569 dogs and the unit plays a crucial role in the police force.
The type of dogs used by the K9 unit include breeds such as German Shepherds, Labradors and Malinois.
The dogs are trained to conduct specific duties and they help in the capture of criminals and the detection of drugs, firearms and explosives and human remains and body parts. – March 22, 2019.
