LOCAL security guards are allegedly being exploited by certain agencies who are shortchanging them on their wages, the Security Guard Union of Malaysia (SGU) said.

SGU president Ali Ibrahim said that since their inception six months ago the union had handled close to 100 cases of guards being cheated.

He said some guards who had worked 12 hours shifts are not getting their four hours overtime but instead are only paid the minimum wage. – April 6, 2023.
