Greenpeace ship carries hopes of environmental protection

ENVIRONMENTAL protection group Greenpeace has brought its ship, the “Rainbow Warrior”, to the shores of Malaysia for the first time.

Currently on its South East Asia tour, the ship made stops in the Philippines, Indonesia and Singapore before making its way to Port Klang yesterday morning.

The Rainbow Warrior aims to raise awareness on environmental protection and engage with local partners. Yeb Sano, Greenpeace SEA Executive Director, refers to the ship as a “symbol of hope and courage”.

The ship will be docked here until June 6, before it sails for Phuket, Thailand. Visitors can pay the ship a visit and be treated to a tour on board by the crew. - June 3, 2018.
